Rings are probably my favorite jewelry accessory and it's definitely a favorite to create. They are so versatile and so much fun to change up, I have my favorites I wear daily. Over the last few weeks, I've been making a small collection of rings. Mixing it up with a few classic, trendy and a few unique styles. And some more with color... adding more gemstone rings (and earrings) to my brand. The small collection below have been added to the shop this past week, with more to come in the next few days. Photographing these precious gems is a time consuming process, yet gratifying capturing a small part of our handcrafted pieces through the lens and sharing them with you.
It's never a dull moment when one begins creating with an amazing kit from Gossamer Blue each month and the March kit was just that.... A M A Z I N G! Everything about the kit screamed spring with lots of soft pastel colors and bold embellishments to boot.
The "You Are So Rad." digital file made creating my main kit layout so easy and fast! I am not a fast scrapper, it takes me more than an hour to make a page... sometimes a few days. It really shouldn't take longer than an hour or two. But sometimes it just does, at least for me. I found these images of my girl last month and knew they were perfect for this page. I went with b&w since the original photo colors were bold. I love the soft background with b&w images anyway. Once I printed out the large title for my page and backed it up with the gold scripted pattern paper, the photos were anchored off to the side. I used very little embellishment to decorate the page, because I didn't want them to overwhelm the page. A definite fave layout by far!
If you haven't, be sure to pick up your kit TODAY, before they are all gone!!!! Thanks for stopping by. Hope you enjoy working with your Gossamer Blue kit as much as I did... xo!
This months PageMaps sketch is super fun with a unique digital cutting file template that really sets the stage for my layouts background. Totally diggin how the circles connect and are embellished with the number sign throughout.
I used a photo of my two girlfriends and I from last years annual crop. We only meet up once a year together and it's always a fun time. I love this photo of us, sporting our new scarfs we picked up at Target the night before and I wear mine all the time, it's a favorite.
The selected color palette for my layout compliments the light pastel colors from the image with black & white contrasting elements. I'm a lover of stripes and circles and of course, had to mix it up with the script background and add in a splash of bling with silver number signs. The circle pattern is softened up with a sheet of vellum and hand-written stitched pattern outlining the circle silhouette adds additional texture. Love how the page turned out, so quick and easy. Products used to create my layout are from Gossamer Blue's March monthly kits.
Happy Tuesday Friends :)
