CT2 | work space reorganized...

This is where the magic happens... my workbench! It's not the traditional style jeweler's bench, but THIS workbench totally works for me. It's spacious with plenty of room to grow. A few weeks back I spent some time reorganizing my work area. It was time to remove all the clutter and improve my work flow. I even found a few treasures that went missing during the process of making cool jewelry. Soon, this work space (the two car garage!) will no longer be... my handy hubby is working on building me my own work shed or as I've heard it's called a "she shed". I've managed to score a few windows and an exterior door, thanks to Habitat for Humanity! Super excited for the process of building to begin. In the meantime, I'll continue to enjoy where I create now... my happy place!

Gossamer Blue | blog hop...

Happy Monday! This month has been extremely busy around here with no time to create with pretty paper and embellishments. But I'm happy to share, once again, my layout, Father & Daughter Dance layout I created using Gossamer Blue's June kits. I mixed and matched products from both the main kit, add-ons and life pages kits. Too much goodness in each one that I loved using for my layout.

Thanks so much for stopping by during the inspirational blog hop. Have an AWESOME week!

CT2 | a facelift...

(What I'm wearing Asymmetrical Chevron Necklace

I am slowly changing things up around here on the blog and to my jewelry store. My goal is to consistently add more blog content weekly and new product monthly. With summer break just around the corner, the whole life balancing act will be most prominent. While this is nothing new, I have been preparing myself, mentally and physically, for our new daily life changes with routine. Totally looking forward to days where I spend more time with my littles, soaking up sunshine at the beach, and our family adventures, all while running a small jewelry business. Any spare time I have in the studio creating new product and working on orders is time well spent for sure. Looking forward to it!

Here's to an AWESOME summer break... xo!

PageMaps | she's so fancy...

Hello June! I'm getting exciting for summer with the kids home, to enjoy some lazy summer days, trips to the lake and the ocean and little adventures on our 2015 summer bucket list. One of my goals this summer is to use my camera more often than I have been. As I was finding inspiration for images to scrapbook this months sketch layout, I realized I have slacked off big time. There are memories I know I've not captured that should have been. But no, I was too lazy. On the flip side, I have enjoyed being in the moment without camera in hand. So, this summer, my goal will be to balance it all out being in the moment while capture our life behind the lens.

That said, these images of baby girl and daddy are my favorites thus far. It was a last minute decision she decided to attend her school Father & Daughter Dance. Luckily, I was able to convince Tim taking her and ordering her a wrist corsage... totally appropriate. I even bought her pink lipstick to match her pink and white corsage flowers.

I love this months PageMaps sketch a lot. There are so many ways to interpret the design for your own scrapbook layout. B&W images were appropriate for this page since I wanted the pastel like colors to pop with the geometric background and gold accents. I love how the overall look turned out. This sketch is sure going to be one of my go to sketches for future projects.

To complete my June sketch layout, I used GB's June kits, which were absolutely perfect for this layout. Totally swooned over the colors and all the pretty embellishments. Made creating this layout that much faster and easier. . Be sure to check out the rest of the team and contributors this months... there is a whole lot of inspiration for creating.

Thanks for stopping by... have an awesome week! Until next month... xo!

Gossamer Blue | mixed media...

This months Gossamer Blue blog post is fairly quick and super easy... creating wall art using modeling paste, which I love having on hand! As much as I love creating layouts, I love creating simple crafty projects as well. I don't dabble in mixed media often like I used to, but this was really fun and a nice change for me this month. I loved that it was something I could do that didn't take hours upon hours to complete. For my project, I printed out the lattice background from my Cameo, and used it to create my textured background. After spreading the modeling paste over the design, remove the template and begin adding your embellishments. This will allow the pieces to dry within the paste. Once completely dry, frame it and hang in your home. Super easy!
