I just realized I am not prepared for Easter this year. Have no clue as to what our plans will be but I know I need to hurry and stock up on some eggs for the girl to begin coloring so she can enjoy hunting for eggs. I love that she is still into it... it's another way for her to be creative with her hands.
This months PageMaps layout sketch was a challenge for me. All the layering of various pattern papers was different for me, but I really enjoyed the idea of piecing it all together. As seen in the images, I used a very light, subtle background for the layouts foundation and piled on the patterns that I felt gave the page a cohesive look. Mixed up the title treatment a bit but kept it simple, allowing all the colors on this page to pop. And of course, I had to throw in a bit of gold!!!
Thanks so much for taking a peek at my project. Enjoy your weekend and have a wonderful Easter :)

Welcome to another fabulous month of inspiration from the Gossamer Blue design team. If you've reached my blog via Calee's blog, you're in the right place.
Today's layout is created using a mix of products from add-ons and life pages kits. The triangle die-cuts from the digital files were my inspiration... i enlarged them more and adjusted the font size to balance out each triangle. Then i picked the best image that would fit the triangle size and popped up the photo for extra depth to the page, which compliments the 3D embellishments throughout. i finished the page by trimming the main page down and backing it with a pattern paper with similar shape. plus, i love the pops of color from the pattern paper in the background.
This page was really fun to make and it was nice playing around with the triangle shapes and mixing them up with other geometric elements. For more inspiration, head on over to Danielle's blog.

As many of you already know, my birthday has soon passed and this blogpost is a bit late... it's all good because I spent the week ( and weekend) celebrating with my friends and family :) I had a really great time, relaxing, playing, drinking, eating lots and lots of cake and spent a portion of my Sunday recovering. I have been going through some personal things over the last several months... mentally and physically. And I think I am finally coming out of that funk and realizing 45 is truly just a number and that I can no longer sweat the small stuff. The mental and physical changes to this aging body of mine will not defeat me... it's challenging. But I'm staying positive.
That all said, I love when a layout comes together so quickly. Especially when there are plenty of amazing products to create with. As you can see, I used nothing buy words, and numbers to embellishment my page, with a few accents and journaling on the side. Very simple, straight forward and to the point.
